Councilmember Joseph Brazen Resignation

Councilmember Joseph Brazen resigned his position on the Medina City Council effective February 26, 2026. The Medina City Council released the following statements of appreciation for Councilmember Brazen's service:
"A big thank you to Joseph Brazen for his dedication to the City of Medina and all those who live, work, and play here. Joseph’s contributions to the city and the public are deeply appreciated.
A well-known Bellevue area business owner and long-time community champion and volunteer, Joseph began his tenure on the Medina City Council in January of 2024. During his time serving on the City Council, Joseph emphasized the importance of community events, public communication, resident engagement, and city beautification. He had previously volunteered for many years organizing the community's annual celebration, Medina Days, and continued to passionately advocate for this event."
City staff are currently working toward implementation of priorities that Joseph personally championed, so his influence will continue to be felt even as he steps away from the Council. We’ve always admired Joseph’s devotion to his beautiful family and his success as an executive, and we wish him all the best as he returns more of his focus to those roles."
