2026 Medina Park Ponds Vegetation Removal Project

Notice of Aquatic Vegetation Treatment – Medina Park Ponds

The City of Medina conducted an aquatic vegetation treatment at the Medina Park ponds to manage nuisance lily pads on Monday July 27th. The treatment was performed under the Washington State Department of Ecology's Aquatic Plant and Algae Management (APAM) Permit using the aquatic herbicides Imazapyr and Triclopyr, which are approved for aquatic use. The purpose of this treatment is to reduce excessive lily pad growth, improve and maintain the health of the ponds. The treatment was performed by a State Certified applicator and as stated on the posted signs, does not require activity restrictions.
